Emilio Neri was born in Thessaloniki on 14th January 1892. He is the son of Alessandro, manager of the brick factory Allatini, and Elizabeth Muller.
On 5th January 1924 he marries in Thessaloniki Leopoldina Dopita.
At the beginning of the 2nd World War, he was recruited under the Italian flag in Thessaloniki where he served as vice consul of Italy. With the consul in charge, Guelfo Zamboni, it will save many Jews from deportation and death, first by providing them with false identity papers, on the other hand, making them evacuate by train the area occupied by the Germans. destination Athens.
After the war, Emilio moves to Rome where he ends his life.
